Bring WATER!
Today it reached 87 degrees in our classroom! Russell does not have air conditioning and it's VERY hot in our classroom. Remember-your child can bring a bottle of WATER that has a cover on it so it doesn't spill!

World Forestry Center
Today we were very lucky to be able to go to the World Forestry Center. It was a beautiful day and the students were able to learn about how amazing trees are! Here are a few pictures of our adventure!

Tangram Challenge
Today in math the students made their own tangrams. Out of one giant square, we were able to make smaller squares, triangles, and trapezoid. We even threw in a parallelogram! The ultimate challenge wasn't creating the tangram, it was putting it back into a square when we were done. This is the first person who figured it out...with only a few more to follow. We also had to work on Math Practice #1-I can make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.

Japanese Gardens Field Trip
We had a beautiful day for our field trip! Miss Joan is coming to our classroom this Thursday with the printed photos so we can use our words to write some Haiku poems.
